Good day!

My name is Mike O'Neill and I'm one of the many hard working producers here at KTRK.  I also happen to be a big fan of all things celebrity, so I have been roped into blogging for our site periodically.   I won't bore you with a list of my likes and dislikes because I imagine they will become clear as I start making side references to whatever I'm writing about.

So let's just get started.

The Bachelorette is back!

The tears have barely dried on the cheeks of Shayne Lamas, who won the heart of British Bachelor Matt Grant just last week.   So now it's time for the women (or more accurately, the woman) to have her chance.

DeAnna Pappas made it to the final two women during season 11 of The Bachelor, but was stunned as Texan (a black eye for the state to be sure) Brad Womack decided he just wasn't that into either of them.

So she's back.  If she can't find true love after competing against 25 women for one man, how about sorting through 25 different men?

Let's hope it works out because, let's face it, the track record has been pretty abysmal.  Only one of the three previous bachelorettes actually made it all the way to the altar.  That's still better than the record for The Bachelor where only two of the 12 men are still with the woman they chose (and that's counting Matt and Shayne from last week.)

So let me hear from you ... do you think DeAnna will find true love?  Does the long list of broken relationships take any of the fun away?  How many men should DeAnna eliminate before she starts making out with any of them?
